Licensing Attorney
East Coast
Responsibilities:
 |
working closely with Technology Standards group to develop an overall
strategy for participation in standards setting bodies that is
consistent with Intellectual Property and Licensing (IP&L) organization
goals and policy; |
 |
evaluation and negotiation of Membership Agreements; |
 |
enforcing IP Policy within the company; |
 |
managing Technology Standards IPR policy compliance, including essential
IPR Disclosures and tracking; |
 |
advising technical representatives on issues regarding intellectual
property as they arise in the standards context; |
 |
monitor and assess standards IP trends and issues, write reports and
advisory white papers to inform senior management and provide guidance
for future strategic actions; |
 |
assisting in preparation of training materials and conducting training
as needed. |
Requirements:
 |
Minimum 5-8 years of relevant work experience with strong
technical background and familiarity with contract and intellectual
property law matters. |
 |
Highly self-motivated, methodical, confident, and
interact well with business management, engineering, and legal staff. |
 |
Ability to develop, expand and maintain internal and
external networks necessary to accomplish the mission. |
 |
Excellent oral and written communication skills are
essential, as well as sophisticated negotiating skills. |
 |
J.D. with BSEE or BSCS undergrad, admission to the USPTO
and a State Bar. |
 |
Some travel (mostly US and EU). |
