Patent Litigation Counsel                                                                                           East Coast

     Responsibilities:    

bullet Identify potential licensing targets and patents to be licensed.
bullet Create and implement litigation strategies.
bullet Manage and coordinate outside counsel.
bullet Oversee all filings, hearings and trials in various matters.
bullet Work with in-house attorneys in both the patent and other areas involved in engineering and standards.
bullet Handle many interrelated matters in different jurisdictions with multiple defendants, multiple issues and multiple counsel.
bullet Handle all day-to-day aspects of litigation management.

Qualifications:

bullet J D required.
bullet Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering undergraduate degree preferred.
bullet Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office preferred.
bullet 6-10+ years of patent litigation experience in a major law firm; additional in-house experience a plus.
bullet Experience with Section 337 proceedings before the International Trade Commission a plus.
bullet Knowledge of wireless telecommunication technologies and standards a plus.
bullet Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, is required.
