The Licensing Executives will work with business and senior legal leadership to develop and implement a broad range of intellectual property (IP) strategies for our clients’ rapidly growing businesses. These positions will handle responsibilities that are of critical importance to the executive leadership to enable our clients to maintain a significant presence as well as expand the business in the region.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Ability to facilitate the process of licensing deals from inception to closure
  • Significant travel should be expected, at times more than 25%
  • Contribute  to Licensing initiatives of the company
  • Initial assertion assessment and viability as well as that of portfolio acquisition opportunities
  • Assist in the negotiation and drafting of collaboration, licensing and other agreements
  • Educate and advise colleagues on regional/global intellectual property issues encountered
  • Develop strategies consistent with departmental and company objectives
  • Regularly attend and effectively participate in industry events to gain and employ current insight


Position Requirements/Qualifications:


  • ​Patent licensing experience
  • Suitable business or legal background with demonstrated success carrying out high dollar value transactions
  • Technical knowledge and familiarity in the mobile/wireless or semiconductor field
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently, managing priorities accordingly  
  • Technical and legal proficiency framed in a business mentality
  • Experience working in diverse cultural settings with due consideration for local traditions, customs and business practices
  • Fluent in Mandarin is a plus for Asia region positions
  • Proactive and self-motivated with ability to think creatively
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience carrying out licensing negotiations of significant dollar value
  • Person must be a “closer”
